Career Profile
I am Dr Emmanuel Akinyinka Ilori, a lecturer at Yoruba Unit of department of Linguistics, Foreign and Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Art National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja.
I obtained my WASCE in the year 1987 from United Methodist High Scool, Iwo Osun State. I obtained first degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife ín 1997 (BA Hons) Yoruba, Master of Arts (Yoruba Literature) from University of Ibadan, 2011 and PhD Yoruba Literature from University of Ibadan in 2021.
I started my teaching career as a Youth Corper at Kano State College of Education now Saadatu Rimi University of Education, Kano 1998 – 1999. Assistant lecturer at Federal College of Education, Katsina 1998. I rose to the rank of Chief Lecturer in the year 2019.
I served as Head of Yoruba department at Federal College of Education, Katsina for five (5) years. I was an Adjunct lecturer, National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja between 2022 – 2023. I Joined National Open University of Nigeria, Jabi, Abuja as a full lec in 2023 up till date.
I am currently Head of Yoruba Unit, National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja.
