Career Profile
Helen Titilola Olojede is a Lecturer and the Acting Head of the Department of Philosophy at the National Open University of Nigeria. She is the PI of The Impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence—ChatGPT—on Higher Education in the Global South: Ethics and Sustainability (funded by the Notre Dame – IBM Tech Ethics Lab) and a co-researcher on training workshop on Generative AI use in education and research (funded by UNESCO).
Helen works at the intersection of ethics, social epistemology and gender philosophy. Her research focus is on the ethics of artificial intelligence. Titilola is an experienced speaker who has delivered keynotes and key addresses and participated in panel and fishbone discussions at various conferences and digital and leadership summits. She is a member of the draft committee of Nigeria’s National AI Strategy and Chair of the AI Ethics and Social Impact sub-group. Titilola was named 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2024.
