“Dr Olubunmi Okeowo Femi-Amao, attended St. Andrews College of education, Oyo, Oyo State where she obtained her NCE certificate in English /Yoruba in 1994. She proceeded to
Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) where she bagged a Bachelor of Arts and Education Degree in Yoruba in 1998. Thereafter she holds a Master and Doctorate degrees in Yoruba Literature in 2016 and 2022, respectively from the prestigious University of Ibadan. Her research interests span language, literature and culture, coupled with teaching experience of over two decades from secondary school level to tertiary level. She holds a membership of learned/academic associations such as Yoruba Studies Association (YSAN), National Association of Teachers of Yoruba Language and Culture of Nigeria, Linguistics Association of Nigeria (LAN), Open Distance Learning Association (ODeLAN) and numerous others where she actively contributes to academic excellence through socially impactful researches and meaningful contributions in national and international conferences and workshops.
Additionally, she is a creative writer, translator, content creator on digital platforms and cultural ambassador . She currently teaches Yoruba language, literature and culture in the department of Linguistics, Foreign and Nigerian Languages in National Open University of Nigeria.”
