Career Profile

Uzoma Amos Dike is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), with expertise in Religious (Old Testament) and gender studies. Before joining the university in 2017, she served as a lecturer (2010-2017) at the Theological College of Northern Nigeria Bukuru, Plateau State.
Her academic journey has been marked by numerous distinctions, including scholarships from the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria and the Harry Boer Scholarship Foundation. She was honored as Best Graduating Student at Hugh Goldie in 2002 and received awards for excellence in Old Testament and Hebrew studies. In 2005, she was named Best Student in Biblical Studies at Bukuru.
Uzoma has contributed significantly to university administration, serving as a Faculty Representative to the Centre for Entrepreneurship (2018–2024), RETRIDOL’s graduate employability framework initiative and Faculty Representative to Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (2020-2022). She has been a member of the Faculty Welfare Committee since 2020. At the Department of Religious studies, she has served as the Admissions Officer and PG Coordinator, Examination Officer (2020-2024). She is presently the Department’s Examination officer Christian Theology Unit Coordinator.
